Un Made Chapter 4 Part 4So we did begin flying side by side we flew over a canyon and I told Tucker this was the base and to fly down and make the first run. Tucker flew down quickly the chain guns on his hornet revved up and he mowed down one of the two warthogs along with four soldiers. E mediately the other warthog was alerted and it started to shoot Tucker down. I Swooped down and took the warthog out with a rocket. Tucker meanwhile was making a pass at the soldiers retreating inside the base. Within minutes we had killed everyone still outside. “Tucker go in for a landing on top of the main structure ill be right behind you.” I commanded.Tucker landed and I came in right behind him. I took a shotgun and a standard assault rifle from the storage compartment on my hornet and Tucker took out an energy sword. It was an unusual choice since most soldiers think were still trying to perfect our energy swords but he handled his fine and he also had a battle rifle. We found the entrance hatch on the top and tucker swooped in killing the guard rather silently. So far I was rather impressed with his skill. Just about everything could use improvement but not as much as I thought. I came in after him scanning the halls. “Keep moving.” I said. We quietly came down the hallway and heard a voice. “They've got to be somewhere in here.” the voice said. I ran around the corner catching two guards walking the other way. I pumped two shotgun blasts into them and they fell over dead. Tucker lunged in behind me killing another emerging from a room. We walked down the corridor and walked through a door into a large room. This was where supply pelicans would have landed. Tucker and I both ducked behind some boxes before being seen. There was a heavy chain gun on either side of the base. I felt stupid not bringing my sniper rifle now. I signaled Tucker to move along the walls to take out the ones at the main entrance of the pelican bay. He gave me an confirming head bob and snuck down along the walls. I went the other way until I encountered a lone soldier at his watch post looking the other way I took my knife out grabbed him by the shoulder pulled him back and slit his throat. I took the sniper rifle he had and checked on Tuckers progress. There were two soldiers coming up and around the corner and they were going to see him for sure as soon as they turned the corner. I zoomed in and with two shots they both fell to the ground with bullets in there heads. Alarms rang and soldiers scattered. I was safe for now but Tucker was in the middle of it all. I took out two more soldiers and reloaded as tucker ran a corner and straight into a soldier his sword cutting straight through him. Two more turned and started shooting rapidly depleting Tuckers shield and just like that he died and the simulation faded back into the walls of the shooting range. “You did good for a two man operation Tucker its a good start on things.” I said. “Thank you sir.” Tucker said. “OK then are you ready to run it again.” I said. I started to feel increasingly angry. “Sir you don't look to good.” Tucker said. I didn't feel good either. I had a really big head ache “Get me out of here Wash into my office and hurry.” I commanded. Wash didn't ask me any questions about it which was good since I didn't want the soldiers to see what I suspected was about to happen. Tucker quickly got me to my office and I told him to leave but get Wash or Jones for me. He left and about ten minutes later Jones came in. “Where the fuck have you been Jones it certainly took you long enough.” I shouted. “Sorry sir I was caught up in something and nothing looks wrong.” Jones said. “Ya well your face looks wrong.” I said. “OK I think I see whats going on. Your personality is imbalanced. I guess you were right not to go into the field.” Jones said. “Your god damn right I am you stupid soldier.” I said. “OK well I'm just going to leave until you calm down.” Jones said. “Thats right leave or I'll start shooting.” I shouted as I pulled out an empty pistol. “You cant shoot me that things empty and the safety's on were you drinking while I was getting here.” Jones said as he exited the room. |
