About our son.To all our friends, site owners and moderators,On March 29, 2008, our 8 year old son, Garion, was found dead in bed at our home from unknown causes. After almost 4 months of investigation by the Orange County Medical Examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia, known better by her Discovery Health Channel television show "Dr. G. Medical Examiner", a cause of death was pinpointed. Our son had a rare, and to us unknown, condition which lead to his death while he slept peacefully in bed. All of you, and many people we have never met, reached out to our family with love, support and prayer while we grieved and came to grips with the sudden loss of our child. To this day I am still in awe of what a great family and friends God has blessed our lives with, and there are no words to convey our thanks for all you did at the worst possible moment in our lives. Because of this we wanted to share with you all an upcoming television documentary about our son and the condition that caused his death. The program will air on Discovery Health Channel's "Dr. G Medical Examiner", Monday January 18, 2010 at 9pm EST. We agreed to this filming in hopes it would bring information to light to help others and possibly spare someone else from the tragic loss we have suffered. January 21, 2010, would have been Garion's 10th birthday and we have decided to go to the mountains of GA for a famly get-away at a cabin in Blairsville. We will be leaving tomorrow, 1/15 and be back home Sunday 1-24. We will be there to celebrate his life and remember the amazing boy that touched so many in so few years. It is our desire that each of you spend a little extra time with family next week just enjoying them and all they mean to you. Please don't take our departure as a desire to be left alone, and we will have our phones and internet access while on our little vacation if you do want to talk. Again...thank you all so much!
