My Venture to Disney, Good? or Bad?As you all know (you all being the 3 people that read this) Walt Disney World is a place where dreams come true, but is it for you? I will give you my answer in a few short paragraphs, along with how my trip to Disney went ( you care, right?) OF COURSE.Now, getting to my hotel/resort I was extremely excited for the week to come, I mean come on! It's Disney! However, my family and yes, that includes my brothers came along on the trip. None of you except maybe 2 know how unbelievably annoying my brothers can be. I'll try not to talk to much about them, I'm afraid it might just make you readers a little irritated. Continuing, the room we had was amazing, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a JACUZZI! The best part about this place was the view, we were on the 10th floor with a great view of the Disney theme parks. Pools up the wazoo, and activities that could captivate you for days. But enough about all of that mumbo-jumbo! Let's get to the parks themselves. Now I got the privilege to visit all of the parks this time. With the Animal Kingdom first, it was off to a good start. The heat was around 90 degrees with a 98% humidity level. Clearly the weather was nothing to get excited about. I had to get a hat at the park ( a fisherman's hat because I'm as white as it gets) Now this hat was $25, ridiculous? I think so. You'll notice that Disney not only gets you with the price of it's tickets ( running just over $200 per person ) but it's merchandise is so expensive you'll need to take out a second mortgage to pay for it. Take this example, I bought a T-shirt, and it was $30. It is pretty sweet though, with Mickey and the works on it. Anyways, after Animal Kingdom, we went to Hollywood Studios. Formally known as MGM, why they changed it? I don't know. My favorite ride there, the Rock n' Rollercoaster. Combining Rock and the awesomeness that comes with riding an indoor rollercoaster, it was epic. The day was nearing it's end so we went back to the hotel, where we swam and what-not. The rest of the parks were fun but more for a 6-7 year-old than say a 16 year-old. However, the last day of parks, now these are worth visiting. Epcot and Magic Kingdom Both are a lot of fun. Epcot takes the cake with it's story-telling, futuristic ride, Spaceship Earth. In my opinion, the best ride at Disney. Magic Kingdom, the first park at Disney is next. With its Cinderella Castle and different lands, it's something to see. At a show called Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Where live comedians use animated monsters on a huge screen in real-time. At the beginning, they were shinning the light along with a camera on different people to show on a jumbo tron in the front of the theater. As it happens they shined it on me, and I had to dance. As you know, white people can't dance, and me being ultra white, it's even worse. But I stood up in front of 200 people and shaked my rump and did a little jig with my hands. Good stuff. The afternoon approached, we went to a dessert dinner to get ready for the fireworks. SO MANY DESSERTS. It was delicious. The fireworks were amazing ( Disney has the best fireworks) With a few days to just sit back and relax, I needed to fill it with some of the activities our hotel had. So I played Ping Pong with this little 7-9 year-old kid. He ended up being amazing, and whooped my butt. The most intense Ping Pong game of my life. After that humiliating defeat I went to go play some mini golf with my family. I ended up getting 3 hole-in-ones ( some luck eh? ) It was all good fun. And the 4th of July fireworks at Disney, which I watched from the balcony were truly spectacular. Epcot again beating all the rest. My final verdict, GO. It's a lot of fun, hang out with Mickey. But bring some cash, like say $1,000. Trust me, you'll use it all. Tweeting up a storm throughout my trip was a must. Leaving was sad and took 15 hours to get back home. I miss being with the family but it's all good. Plus now I get to play video games and talk with friends. Getting back is both a happy moment, and a sad one, as it is the end of my vacation. More summer is yet to come! More journals will ensue, this being the longest yet, mod it, read it, love it, the White Ninja signing out. |
