Happy HolidaysThis has been a pretty good Christmas vacation for me so far. I haven't had a month to do absolutely nothing in probably over 5 years. I decided this year I would take a break from the movie business and just come home from grad school and do nothing. It will probably end up hurting a little bit once we start spending again, but Elizabeth and I have just been enjoying spending the month with our families and letting them foot the bills again. I think they've enjoyed it too.If any of you have been keeping up with the few journals I've put up recently you'll remember that I was freaking out about finals. Well, they've come and gone and I can proudly say that I have a 4.0 in my doctoral program. Hopefully I can keep that up, but we'll see. Elizabeth has been great and has been letting me go to my house basically every day and play video games. Not that she wouldn't, but she's not complained that I'm not spending enough time with her. We're staying at her parents house so I have to drive over to mine to play on our nice big tv that I brought home with us. I've finished Mass Effect and started Blue Dragon. I know that as soon as Christmas finally comes around, I'll drop all that for Arkham Asylum. Can't wait. I've also been gaming here at this house on my computer that we also brought back. I've been playing some KOTOR for the first time since I bought it on steam and some Doom 3. Her brother has a nice computer gaming collection so I'm getting some of that put on my computer to take home. I've never been more content playing games than I am now. Feels nice to be playing instead of studying. I'm also trying to catch up on all my podcasts, but that is a feat in itself. I have over 6.5 days of podcasts to listen too and they just keep coming. I'm making pretty good headway though. I'm also watching some anime. I've mostly watched Naruto because I'm DVRing the Shippuden episodes on ToonDisney and want to catch up. There are just sooooooooo many. I've also started to grab some of Jon's (Liz's brother). Overall this is turning out to be a great, needed break. Hope everyone else's holiday is going as well.
