Out of ServiceI just finished the first episode of my Gears of War 2 machinima, Out of Service. Which you can see at my website www.dotswoof.com or at Dot Swoof's youtube page. Please let us know what you think...I've learned a few things working on this machinima. Firstly, never underestimate how far someone will go to help with a machinima. A good friend named "Regooba" helped a lot in the filming and production of this episode, including helping me scout locations and plan out scenes. He was a total stranger before this and now a helpful friend. Secondly, never underestimate what audio can do. The entire opening of the first episode is composed mostly of just audio, but it flows together nicely and gives the audience loads of setup information. And finally, re-takes are a must. Simply said, nothing comes out perfect the first time. So always be willing to try again, at least once. Even if you got ten different takes the first time, you don't know what can happen in another shoot. LINKED MEDIA
