The problem with sleepI have been a University student for 6 months now, and if I have learned 1 thing at least, it is that with the knowledge of impending work, sleep has never been more appealing. Now I know we all need our reccomended 6-8 hours but even after managing a full 13 hours sleep and geting up for just the last lecture of the day, upon returning to your digs the duvet still calls.. ..loud and clear! To me this isn't a problem, I can always knick a copy of notes off my coursemates, and the homework questions. The problem comes when trying to raise yourself from the folly of death after the inevitable afternoon nap and still make it to dinner in catered halls of accomodation. I have tried everything from setting 3 alarm clocks, leaving the curtains open, and playing loud music, BUT I turn them off in quick succession and go back to bed, I live on the ground floor so people tap on the window and take photots and such abuse, and I sleep to heavily to even notice the music (tho my dreams do have a cool soundtrack) The only other thing I can do is not go to sleep in the afternoon, but then I can't stay awake into the small hours of the morning and cruise the forums. Oh what am I to do!?! Alas I shall strugle on, I only have a couple of months more and then I'm in a house and can eat whenever the hell I want. Happy fragging, modding, sleeping and eating everone! |
