Life UpdateWow it’s 44°!The snow is melting, and soon the paint will be sticking! For my watchers, the stagnant period is almost over, I’ll try not to journal whore. Mods/Modding: Right now there is only one true project sitting on my bench. Charlie has been sitting very patiently waiting on this guitar to get done and I’ve done everything in the world BUT get it knocked out. My main hangup has been the cold. I’m already testing swatches waiting for the moment that the cold no longer applies so I can get this guitar painted. I have a controller and chatpad waiting patently to get painted as well as a PS2, a Dreamcast… a couple of cars… Jeeze hurry up and get warm out! I HAS WORK TO DO! Crapper: With the snow melting I’m about to be in a situation where I will have to try to get the crapper out of the yard and into the driveway in order to meet city code. This thing is dead in the water right now. Good times are canceled due to this POS. Still no start, no go. I bought yet another TPS, which solved part of the problem, now the gorram thing wont start at all. Super sniffer is telling me this is a pump or filter. Yes, I can smell out the problem over the funk of fuel. Don’t ask. While I get myself into a position to do something about the possible filter or pump, my boundless hate for this car had me wrenching in the quickly diminishing cold.   I ripped the throttle body away and yes, I actually have a replacement OEM 1996 Geo Tracker throttle body laying around. It was sitting in my desk drawer on top of some guitar parts. Monday will be an interesting day for this car. Hopefully this will be the last week of working in these conditions  Mechanical: In the world of other cars this week, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time working on Amy’s Buick. Amy luck kicked in full force when she joked about our braking habits… then her brakes went out completely. Not sure if it’s Amy luck or if karma was glinting its teeth, but her brake like ruptured and good times began. I managed to drive her car home without brakes (automatic tranny) Laying in the melting ice, I’m surprised I didn’t catch a cold… but I saw where the line ruptured… ruptured, not rusted through. That’s key. The sun happened to be in just the right spot while I was cutting the bad line and I hit the fuel line, the brake line and it shot all over my face, hair mouth… full face full. How the hell it missed my eyes I have no clue. In a few minutes the chemical cocktail started to burn my face and I ran inside to make a quick decision… I had to loose my goatee. Nobody was happy about that, including myself. I thought I looked weird skinny… taking off the soup catcher I don’t even know who the hell is staring back at me from the mirror. I was called in to work, and Jay couldn’t even look at me without face fuzz… he hands me a sharpie and said “I refuse to speak to you without facial hair… and draw some chops while you’re at it” Oh why not?  Back to her car, my gut said to check the right front tire… I ended up buying a heavy duty breaker bar… and even then putting mad retard strength into it… AND jumping up and down on it… AND cracking it with a sledge, I managed to get the lugs off… Which yielded the root cause for brake failure. After replacing the front caliper, her car stops… just not as nice as she’d like. But new calipers, rotors, and shoes cost money. Which this week I just replaced all of those on Jens car as well. Waiting to see what goes wrong with the Shit Ten now. Games/Gaming: With COH pre-release of Going Rouge, I did the pre-order and unlocked the Duel Pistols. Here’s my new toon Commander PopNFresh  I also made Barney Fife… the name actually was not taken!  Later on when I get pinched for the name, he will then be called One Bullet Barney, for now he’s pure Fife! WOOWOO I’d like to say that there’s been a lot of gaming this week, but I’d be lying. Strangely enough there will be some RP back in our future. We’ll be playing Mutants and Masterminds D20  I’ll actually be rolling up my character tonight! It’s our new Wednesday thing I missed Role Playing! I cant wait! Sites: I took a call last night from our Realtor, she was just calling to say hey, see if we were still happy with the house. While on the phone I asked for her credentials for her website ourrealtorsuz.com/ What she didn’t know was that I’ve designed her a new site as a means of saying thank you. I uncased it from my PSDs this morning, plugged it into Dreamweaver real quick and put up the base flash menu for a one page example, test the waters etc. I’ll finish it out for her tomorrow.
