But he isn't using it as a gimmick, in interviews he keeps talking about it and the way he uses it as THE FUTURE OF CINEMA or some bullshit like that. From what I heard from advanced screenings it was used very well.
What? You didn't know it was in 3D? I thought that was all pretty much common knowledge now.
Look, I understand that you've been somewhat upset with movies these days, but believe me, what Cameron is doing here is developing a new kind of 3D technology that will supposedly blow peoples' mind. He's not using it as a gimmick, as most movies seem to have. He didn't make Avatar with shots that look like he was saying "HEY LOOK! We made this guy through something straight at the camera just so you see how cool the 3D". You can ask Chipper who saw the 15 minute preview. She was absolutely stunned by how awesome the 3D worked so well to bring out the environments. Have a little faith ; )
I'm developing an intense hatred for the locals that has lead me to question myself if im becoming racist or just hating a group of worthless people. and hating my chain of command who are just useless.
I just noticed the next season of LOST is gonna be the final season. I guess that's a good thing. I was starting to think the show was getting way too confusing and convoluted.
well the latter is... but I kinda feel less about myself. I jsut can not find anything of value about these people. i mean yea i can buy entire seasons of shows for 20 bucks but i mena in the grand scheme of things... *shakes head*
It's both a shorter game and kinda meh. Deadpool kicks ass and is hilarious at parts. The Pro-Regs are idiots and the last part of that game is dull. I'm not saying they should have to follow Civil War 100% faithfully....but....Civil War's big ending was better than this one's.
Beat it with the little brother and we both had the same reaction at the end of it. "Holy shit...this is the final cut-scene." "That didn't feel like a final boss."
I think that was due to a lack of a complete villain. You knew you'd beaten the game when you fought Master Mold, Apocalypse, and Dr. Doom in the previous three games.
However for the fourth in a series...this series is proving to be rather solid. I don't know how I'd rank them against each other. They all have their significant positives and their fair share of negatives.
I think Ultimate Alliance or X-Men Legends 2 would be the top though. I loved the story and gameplay of XML2 and I loved the Team Building and traveling around the Marvel Universe of Ultimate Alliance. There's no team building in UA2 and there's only Latveria, America and Wakanda in UA2.
But I do love the Fusions. I liked that idea since I heard it.
I agree somewhat. I expected the civil war to have a bigger part, kind of like in the comics, but they build up to the war, there's a little bit of fighting it, and then they take a complete left turn into something entirely else. I found that a bit disappointing. Also, it did feel smaller than UA. I mean in UA you went everywhere. You went to the f'in Skrull homeworld. We have the Negative Zone prison in this one, but it just felt like they took the potential for an epic story and made it small.
All that being said, I like the gameplay. They've improved the gameplay in every game, and this one took another step forward, I thought. The fusions were fun, though I really thought they could have varied them more. I mean, several people basically did the exact same thing, Jean uses TK to suck everyone into the middle, or Spidey uses webs to suck everyone into the middle, or Sue uses invisibility forcefields. Then Deadpool drops bombs on them or Johnny Storm shoots fire at them, or whatever. It's basically the exact same fusion over and over. Still, they were fun. And I like the special conversations that certain characters have with other characters. They did that some in UA, but it seemed like there was more here, and of course you have to keep Deadpool in your party because you never know when he's going to say something awesome.
slow at playing games is slow. i'm just saving miss marvel. so far i'm not to found of the fusions. i'd rather stroll in with wolverine and claw hordes of enemies to death.
The early parts of the game are nice. Things build up and you're into the characters. Plus Deadpool had the greatest introduction ever. Mid-game to end game however just seem....there. The whole Wakandan section needed work as it felt so much the same. Latveria and Washington D.C. are two cities. You'd think they'd feel the same but they don't. Why isn't that same care and distinction throughout the entire game?
Also Storm and Deadpool are in every fucking team possible. GODDAMN are they room clearers.
Didn't get any of the unlockables though. Co-op last night and we just...kinda...rushed through that game. We found collectables but it was 4 for Jean, 4 Runes for Thor, and 1 sample for Hulk.
So...we suck at rushing and finding things.
And yeah. UA1 felt a lot larger and far more varied. New York, Stark Tower, Asgard, Skrull World, Arcade's Murder World, Helicarrier, A.I.M. Headquarters, Atlantis....that was epic. That was like the first time I played X-Men Legends 2. Where you travel base to base around the world taking missions to fight. I miss that. Ultimate Alliance 2 doesn't have that same HUB feel. There is a HUB but it's less important.
Also only one alternate costume sucks. Even X-Men Legends 1 had more than 1 alt suit! (for most characters)
I've never played MUA or MUA2. And I don't think I ever will. Something about those games just doesn't call my attention, at least, enough to spend a full game's price on each. I guess it's because I'm just not as big a comic geek as you guys.
