So, it's my birthday today...

and I'm among a veritable Who's Who of celebrities sharing my birthday. Among them...

Martin Luther King Jr. - actually, I think his is the 15th, but who cares? My kids have the day off of school (yay) so it's like they're getting a present from me...instead of the other way around...(yay).

Kevin Costner - Yes, I share the same birthday as Mr. Brooks, Robin of Loxley, The Mariner...you get the idea. And yes, I do feel kind of special.

Burnie Burns - You wouldn't believe how excited I was to find out that Burnie and I have the same birthday. NOT THAT I'VE BEEN ABLE TO GET HIM TO COME AND POST ON MY PROFILE BECAUSE OF IT THOUGH! But, hey, I know he's busy, and besides, who am I anyway? He's Burnie...I'm just...Randy. Still, I feel special.

INTERESTS

I LOVE POLAR BEARS! I love to read and I love music. I have a pilot's license and love to fly but haven't flown since 9/11 so I'm not current. I love WW II history (Dogfights on History channel anyone??) and have the utmost respect for all of the men and women both past and present who have served in the armed forces and laid their lives on the line for me and my freedom. I';m very interested in the occult and the pagan "religions". I love science and technology and all of the avenues of possibility that it opens for the human race's future. Not too fond of people though. I like being left alone I like solitude. There are too many stupid people in the world who piss me off.

FAVORITE MUSIC

I love all kinds of music but mostly metal. METAL!! Some of my favorite bands are(in no particular order): Iron Maiden Type O Negative High On Fire Six Feet Under Metallica Slayer Fear Factory Nile Static-X Black Label Society Slipknot Mushroomhead Fireball Minstry Satyricon Lordi Evergreen Terrace HELLYEAH Clutch Drown Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Green Day Avenged Sevenfold Goatwhore Sum 41 Weird Al Cannibal Corpse Testament and I'm sure there are more that I will think of later.

This one is tough I love movies. Even though I watch a lot of TV I don't have a lot of favorite shows. Battlestar Galactica Stargate Atlantis Big Bang Theory House Heroes Dogfights Eureka and Robot Chicken.

FAVORITE BOOKS

The entire Discworld series by Terry Pratchett the entire Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. I really enjoy the Splinter Cell books and love mystery/thriller novles. Some of the last books I've read: Maximum Ride - James Patterson Halo: The Fall of Reach Star Wars Republic Commando: True Colors The Last Spymaster and I love all the Dan Brown books Digital Fortress Angels and Demons The Davinci Code and one other I can't recall at the moment. I love to read!

FAVORITE VIDEO GAMES

I'm a very sad and pathetic person and just started playing the original Halo like a week ago. I do like it though. Mostly I like puzzle type games like Myst. I've played the entire Myst series and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I've played them all at least 2 times through. I enjoy RTS games but prefer to use a game guide...just not very good at managing resouces. Games like Homeworld Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth and so on. I have a PS2 and an Xbox but prefer PC gaming to console. For the console I enjoy Star Wars Battlefront 2 Grand Turismo 3 Outlaw Golf Outlaw Volleyball God of War Knights of the Old Republic I & II and Thrillville. Played on Xbox live for a very short time...got tired of getting pwned by 12 year olds.

Well, that's cool. Doesn't show up on most maps so it's usually like..."Well, it's right in this green and blue area here. See all that water there? It's there...somewhere"... Went to Mizzou waaaaaay back in 1990. Was in Marching Mizzou and Mini Mizzou. Miss the band, not much else. Thanks for the reply!

Hey, thanks for replying! Well, I had been working from home as a webmaster for a website back in 2003 and that's when I had all my piercings. In July, I became the victim of corporate takeover/downsizing and my position was eliminated so I had to go back into the "real world" and get a new job. Picked up work doing computer tech support, but they had this "professional dress code thing" so I had to take most of them out. I was able to put the septum ring "up my nose" literally and hide it and I got a couple of clear plastic studs for my labrets and that worked for a while. Then I got a job at a park and had to take them all out. They didn't have a dress code, but got whacked in the nose and the septum piercing got shoved....well, it was rather painful and they said that if I wanted to continue to work here, for safety reasons, I should take it out. I got one of those, dammit, I can't remember the name of it, it's just a "U" shaped ring that's kind of a "placeholder" that's easy to hide, and I would put that in after I got home from work, but I started getting lazy and next thing I knew, I couldn't get it in and just gave up on it.

Right now, I'm working for a trucking company hauling hazardous materials (molten sulphur, phosphoric acid solutions and the like) and I've been kind of hesitant to get them done again. I have seen another co-worker with a labret and her eyebrows pierced and they haven't said anything about them, so, once I get my schedule figured out and stuff, I might hit the tattoo shop and get stuck again. Honestly, I can't wait. I get tingly just thinking about it.

I'll have to look through my images and stuff and see if I can find you a good Polar Bear paw image to send you.

As far as the genital piercings go...heh...not my style. Guess I'm not man enough.

Besides, don't want to give the wife anything to get a hold of when she gets pissed off at me.

lol thanks for the comment. No worries about hoping in on the post. I got ink on my calf for space mostly. As for the name polarbearzip, I got the name polar bear as a nick name a few years ago. I'm a big bear and I'm known for my love of giving big bear hugs, cuddling and winter. Zip is short for Zipper as in my gamertag polarbearzipper which came to fruition when my girl friend who's online alias is zippers be fun and I were sharing a Live account and combined the names. I just don't wanna drop 10 bucks to change the zippers part. I love polar bears and I love the name. I'm actually trying to find a good outline of a polar bear paw print so I can down size it and get it tattooed on my calf. I'm going to have the outline be in black and the inner part be a rainbow. Means a lot to me and my sister. So if you know where I could get a good image of a polar bear paw print (not a grizzly or black or brown bear, polar) That would be huge. Where do you work that you had to take all of your piercings out? I have to avoid facial piercings and have run out of visible space to get pierced and get away with it. I'd get some genital piercing but the girl friend says now way. And Since I some what share that area I'll be nice and comply.
