19 year-old male from Shawnee, OK I love musique. I produce and compose my own. Electronica and house. I DJ. I like hip hop as well. Im a cool kid. Um. Im white and I have an afro. Its pretty rad. I write too. Lyrics, poetry. Its all deep. Go deep or go home. I apply that to my girls, too.
I've used most of the popular browsers and Opera is not bad. I was using that when I played WoW on my sister's computer a little while ago. But that's another story.
Anyway, I guess I'll use Chrome for a bit to see if there's any other things that I like or dislike about it. I might switch to Opera, we'll see.
Ok im getting near the end of the mix, and I enjoyed it, nice track selection and you definetly have potential if you get a bit tighter. As for feedback, watch some of your transitions, there were a few that seemed "off" either due to key clashes, or a change of pace that was too sudden ( I have a friend who fades in pace switches which seems to work) One of these that I remember came in around the 10 min mark. Other than that watch your production, there were some spots were audio fuzz could be heard in the background, which is annoying at worst, but it stops a good mix, being a great mix, and finally, some samples, were a little too loud, they should complement, not compete.
Having said this, Im not a mixer, nor a DJ or even a producer (yet) I want to get into producing, Im just saving for the software and equipment.
Hope this helps, looking forward to hearing you improve, and keep pushing yourself.
--> MacBook with 2.5 GB of RAM; running Traktor 3.4.1 --> Hercules connects to the laptop via USB; no external power supply required --> RCA cables connect the Hercules to the front panel of the left monitor (Mackie SRM150); a 3-pin XLR cable links it to the other monitor through the patch bay on the back
The whole setup totals about three grand. The Hercules RMX ships with Virtual DJ 5........which is a fairly simplistic program when compared to Traktor but gets the job done just fine. You can't get the old versions of Traktor anymore, as they've upgraded to the new PRO/DUO versions, which can be bought from the online shop at Native Instruments for 229$ & 199$ USD respectively.
I'm not a big fan of the new layouts in PRO, but now that I'm getting the hang of making my own custom MIDI maps I may start spending more time learning its ins and outs. Because aside from the layout, it performs just as well as (if not better than!) the old versions of the software. And if I get things setup to where I don't have to navigate around the screens too much, I may start using it more often.
Anyway, that's my mobile setup........it's served me well, and it should do the same for you! Hope this helps........
