"Home!" or "It was good."Two years have come and gone and California is 2,000 miles away. I got home last night and I'm still tired. I'll be writing about the entire experience later on. All of it. All at once. Two years summed up in one sentence. But seriously, I just get done with something huge that took place over the course of two years and people ask 'so how was your mission?' To which I ask, 'well, do you have an hour or two.' After a brief empty expression, I get the answer no, and then I say, "It was good." I'll be posting some bits and pieces occasionally, so stay tuned and keep an eye out. I'll be updating my profile too, to more accurately increase the growth in coolness I've experienced in the past two years. Por ejemplo, ya puedo hablar espanol. But I don't know how to put the ~ on the n. And I've never put a lime in a coconut. I've also upgraded my job field from Professional Procrastinator to a Return Missionary Man. Look for these and other changes as you read my new, exciting, action packed, door knocking journal entries. post script - After being gone for 2 years I've forgotten how to use the internets, so I can't take a picture, but take my word at it that of the threads I was watching when I left, the Battlestar Galactica thread won by far with 9287 replies since I left. It won by 7000+. Just wanted to throw that out there. Time will tell if I spend the time to catch up on two years of BSg. Another ps - I unlocked awards? I didn't know RT gave us awards. Can I redeem my rewards for anything useful? Cash? Food? A house of my own? Something to dive other than the family Odyssey? Have you ever tried pickin' up chicks in an old school Odyssey? It sucks. I'll be monitoring things on the awards side of things and let ya'll know what cool things you can do with them, if indeed they're good for anything. And if anyone else has been gone for two years. |
