Yesterdays Rooster Teeth office visitWell, to start things off, I was extremely nervous, and I had outright told my family that before heading down there. I really wasn't sure what to expect.Well, I got to the very nondescript door leading to the office, and pondered if I just hit the weird doorbell looking thing, or something else. So I hit the weird doorbell thingy, and low and behold, here comes Brandon. After a small introduction, I'm taken up the stairs right to the office. Everyone who I have been a fan of these last few years is just right there (except Geoff, because he's off on some tropical island or something...) Burnie, Joel, Matt, Nathan, Gus, and then Brandon. I went around getting the introductions out of the way, shaking everyones hand and feeling ecstatic at this point. Anyway, Gus and Brandon then proceed to take me for a little tour around the office, leading me into the back where they have Jack stashed away to play his games and such for Achievement Hunter. After that, I get back into the main room and I get my Grif action figure signed by all but Grif himself, but that will happen some day I'm sure. I get some photos out of the way, but by this time, Joel had already taken off for lunch, so I got a group picture with everyone else (and with Burnie holding up a sign for my good friend Drew). Another cool guy and friend of RT, Dominic, was also in town and him, myself, Burnie and Gus headed down to the Roaring Fork to get some lunch (which was fantastic by the way). Dominic ended up being a swell gentleman and picked up the bill, then we headed back to the office, and Joel was back so I got a few 1 on 1 pictures, as well as a new group photo. After that was said and done, I talked to Burnie for a while about Grifball, made my rounds around the office saying my good byes and many thanks and appreciations, then headed out and went bar hopping around 6th Street, because South by South West was going on, so it was insane. Long story short: I visited the Rooster Teeth office, it was friggen awesome, and I had beers down on 6th Street. No complaints here for a day that I will never soon forget! Thanks guys! It meant a lot and I hope to do it again sometime! |
